Out walking the property on this cold morning and ran into a few locals eating the fallen apples from the Fall.

Received a wonderful note today from a happy client. So great to get great feedback on our work.

My son was thrilled with his beautiful charcuterie board, especially after his daughter and I created this masterpiece today.

Completed 12ft white ash stained table

January 5, 2016

This 11ft single slab black walnut table was delivered to a client over the holidays. The slab is beautiful and the simple steel base allows the eye to focus on that beauty.  There is a natural crack that was left unfilled to give the table an organic feature.

This sugar maple is finished and delivered. It looks great in the client’s space.

Oct 16, 2015

This sugar maple top is nearing completion. The slabs are book cut and naturally nestle together. The slabs will not be glued but will be held together by steel bars on the underside. The result is a table with an organic live edge feature through the middle of the table. The colours and grain will pop once it is oiled.

A great deal of finishing on a table top is done by hand.  This image shows just a fraction of the plane shavings that will come from this 12ft white ash dining table.

Here are a few images of a recent salvage we made in downtown Toronto. The salvage was in a tight backyard where a crane had to be used to remove the trunk. Certainly a commitment by the homeowner to salvage. We have milled and are drying these slabs so that we can create a dining table for the owner. Michael Finkelstein will also be creating some turned pieces from this salvage.
